As the creator of SABZ, a patented nonwoven textile, I promote mindful making through workshops and offer freelance design services. Hi, I’m Aleezay Mohsin, a textile designer and educator dedicated to sustainability, material innovation, and community-centred design. With a degree in textile design from the National College of Arts, I explore how simplicity and purpose can redefine the future of textiles through low-impact creative processes.
Sustainable Material Innovation
My work includes SABZ, a novel biodegradable nonwoven textile material developed as part of my thesis. It reflects my ongoing research into natural, zero-waste alternatives to conventional materials, focusing on low-energy processes and circular design principles.
Craft & Community
Beyond the studio, I conduct hands-on craft workshops for kids and adults that reconnect people with traditional textile techniques like tie & dye, block printing, and embroidery. These sessions are designed to be playful, educational, and rooted in slow, mindful making.
Freelance Design Practice
I also offer freelance design services ranging from visual branding and textile prints to commissioned craft-based projects. Whether collaborating with small businesses, NGOs, or individuals, I aim to bring thoughtful, sustainable aesthetics into every brief.
